We were talking abou that on Saturday.  Weis has about 24 mill left on his contract.  Even ND will have trouble coming up with that much to buy him out.

Sorry Cinnci- Kelly goes to the Irish ASAP.

Great article! It was only a matter of time for Boise. The big time schools only like to schedule easy non conference games. How about #2 Texas playing lowly Central Florida this week?  [roll]

Boise is still a no win situation for the powerhouse schools. Disaster if they lose to a lowly (perceived) WAC team...expected if they win...despite the article saying that isn't the case anymore.

This is why a playoff is needed. The current BCS system is a bunch of BS that favors the established programs.

...and how about Nevada laying down 500+ rushing yards last night!?  :o :o 4 separate players with over 100 yards rushing in the game! Sure it was against San Jose State, but damn...

it used to be that way years ago when Fresno State was MUCH better.  i seem to recall they almost knocked off USC then nobody dared play them.  it's a no-win situation for the big schools to play Boise St.

pollsters are still drunk on the thought that USC still belongs above Oregon.  it's about time another pac-10 school wins the conference.  just noticed that the pac-10 already has 6 teams bowl-eligible, more than any other conference!  perhaps the toughest conference?  even better than the SEC?

Texas originally had Arkansas and Utah scheduled as non-conference opponents. Both pulled out very late. And UT was forced to find replacements. We also failed to predict that Sam Bradford would get injured  [roll]
take that into account when you talk about our strength of schedule.

And the PAC 10 is far and away the deepest conference this year. It's weak at the top though.

Nevada - Boise State is going to be an interesting game.  Nevada has scored 60+ points in three games this year and leads the NCAA in rushing yards, I think by a mile.

Is it at Mackay...or on the stupid-ass smurf turf?

Notre Dame should go after the Navy coach (whose name I can't spell). The previous Navy coach, Paul Johnson, is doing  pretty well with Georgia Tech.

Football styles are cyclic. We're almost to the saturation point of the spread offense/ passing game style. A big-time program with big-time athletes that can run the option would have an edge against evenly-matched athletes.

That's because i lived in Fresno then...now live in boise.
Cities with lagging college football programs should pay me to move there.  ;D

Would you consider South Bend or Ann Arbor?

Jeff, you think you could kill a program as well as improve it? If so, you want to move to Norman, OK? I'll pay for the move  ;D

ND will be continue to be irredeemable as long as that fat pompus a-hole is coaching there.  He is a genius...if you consider he has gotten much richer than his predecessor and has racked up the same winning %.
