When discussing the service academys, you have to take into account those kids have more demands on their time than most of us will ever see, and they are still fairly competetive in athletics.  I have mucho respect for all of the service academy teams.

I seriously doubt that Randy's sarcasm was directed at Navy. I am pretty sure it was directed at Charlie Weis and the fact that no coach ever at Notre Dame has EVER been paid more for less and even got a contract extension to do it.

Yes, rockaduc, my sarcasm was firmly directed to Charlie's ass as Ohio State and Notre Dame are the two teams I hate the most in College Football land.  Typically, I add in the team that Michigan is playing, but I'm currently hoping for Michigan to continue losing so that Dick Rod is out of a job.

Actually, I think I'm going to start an online petition for Dick Rod to take over for Charlie at ND.

Speaking of D- what the make the beast with two backs was that defensive game plan?  Buckeye defensive line has been blitzing and rushing the QB all year and they do it like 4 times Saturday.


Don't worry after they chew up and spit out Big Blow and Dick Rod, the Bucks will be ready for the Ducks.  At least we know what Defense is.  Orgeon's offense is great but D not so much.  Plus how many great defenses have they played this year?  They need to beat Arizona and Oregon State so lets not get ahead of ourselves.

Anyone here think that TCU just might be the best team in the country?  Their damn close to being better than Texas (Florida and Alabama not in conversation in my book).  Most balanced team by far.

^^^ Sorry, just not impressed with either of those teams.  To be the top team in the country you need to have balance and both of these teams struggle on offense at times. Texas has benefited by an easy schedule but seem to be playing well on offense and defense.  TCU has beat more ranked teams than Texas and is in the Top 10 in total offense and total Defense.  At some point one of these teams needs to get a chance at the NC.  Not saying that Florida nor Alabama aren't good just not the top team in the country. They benefit from the love fest that the media has with the SEC.  If you ask me, the PAC-10 has the most balanced and deep conference in the country.
