I think it was a sebaceous cyst that became infected and not a actual zit.

Close. It's a sebaceous cyst. It's a cyst formed around the infected portion of the sebaceous (oil) gland.

I had one on my back that given my dislike of those in the medical profession, I let grow to the size of softball and become so painful I couldn't sleep before I visited the campus docs for a lancing. I guess the difference is I didn't feel the need to post it to the gross out section of Youtube.

We had a guy with one of these (actually an infected follicle) on his face in my barracks during "A" school.

People who saw it lanced talked of "mashed potatoes."

I got a good story. . .

Heard this from one of the guys at work, about a man his wife works with (who we'll call Bandage guy.)

He had a bandage on his face (like he cut himself shaving).  Mat's wife asked about it and bandage guy says he'll tell her later as they were getting ready for a meeting.

Later comes around.

He had a cyst type thing on his face, and had them before.  He goes to the dermatologist to get it taken care of.

Skin doc says it's not a cyst.  Hang tight and we'll fix you up he said.  Seen this before a few times he said.

Turns out it was an ingrown hair in Bandage guys face.  It had grown inward and was getting infected, but wasn't hurting him yet.

Turns out this hair was a mass the SIZE AND LENGTH OF A MAN'S LITTLE FINGER!!! 

In this guys face.

The nurse commented that it was the worst thing she had ever smelled and it was all she could do not to barf.

The Dr unwound it and it was 12 feet long.

12 make the beast with two backsing feet.

Dr thought it had been growing for like 10-15 years.

I can't even imagine that.
