A riding buddy, fellow Monster owner(S4 Sienna), from Bethesda passed away last week. I got the news via email on my way to Indy GP and did not have his GF's contact info. I finally have been in contact with her. I had asked her if it would be okay if I arranged a ride to his service on 9/19. She thinks it would be a great idea and something that Peter would smile about. So I will be setting up a ride from Reston, South Lakes Shopping Center, on 9/19, departure at 12:30, we'll take as many back roads as I can put together to arrive at the church in Bethesda for the 2:00PM service. If you want to participate please send an email to 2vtwin@comcast.net, not a PM from the board please so that I can manage it from my comcast account.

I realize many of you probably did not know Peter. I considered Peter a good friend and one of those members when I was President of MAD that I was not sure about based on emails. But once I got to know him in person, along with Teri his GF, we became fast friends. We had a ball at the Italian Motofest last year, then Daytona during bike week, then many rides since then. He had plans for his S4, at least until he could afford the Streetfighter, and we met most Thursday evenings at a place in Oakton, swapping stories, kicking tires etc... He and Bill Bowen will be good friends, both engineers, both very smart, both motorheads, both with a very low tolerance for fools. I will miss him. - Gene
