Does anyone know where i could find the washer for the 2 bolts that hold the headlights to the brackets? aside from duc dealer...

Is there a specific name for that conical washer?

No idea what they call it.  Your best shot for finding something similar would be Mcmaster Carr.  I would give Ducati Seattle, Commonwealth and BCM a call.  In the meantime a conventional bot and washer will work.

I believe it's called a belleville washer. The engineering of it sorta requires you use the one designed for the specific job.

Is it a Belleville washer or a flat washer that is conical on the outside with a recess for the bolt head?  Either I never noticed or I don't remember.  If it is a Belleville washer it has a hella lot more clamping power than a similar set up with a flat washer.  After trying to figure out how to describe one I decided it is time for a link.

As a temporary solution I would still use a flat washer and bolt, but if the washer is a Belleville I would add a lock washer between the washer and bolt.

The washer in question is called a cup washer, strictly for cosmetic apperances, most commonly used on the Ducati fairing mounts,on 851-888 & 900ss ,although their are conical shaped on the ouside only this is for apperances, they come in silver, gold & TI,backed up with a nylon flat washer to save the paint,u like the Belleville washer that spreads certian torque loads when certian torque specs are applied, most commonly seen in our slipper clutches for clamping a specific load on the spider spring & distributing it evenly, also used in the new adler APTC clutch design and many others. later...RS

hey thanks for the link to ebay purchase. i searched on the internet, but ducpainter seems to be right. these are specifically engineered for ducati's headlights so i cant seem to find them anywhere.

But at the cost of shipping +$1 washer (and it woudlnt be the right one), i ended up getting 2 with bolts for $10w/free shipping!

You're right howie. I went out and looked at mine over the weekend and it's not a belleville washer at all.
