The slave bleeder screw is leaking from the "nipple" as if it isn't tight enough. I can't tighten it anymore for fear of breaking it off. Bike is an 05 s2r and it has an EVO slave w/ the stock bleeder screw. Any advice?

I should also add that it is not leaking from the threads, but from the top where fliud would come from during a bleed.

One more thing. It's worth noting that it only seems to leak like this when the rubber "boot" is on the bleeder. I haven't detected any leaking with the boot off. Could it be that the boot creates a vacuum and pulls the fluid out?

The boot is just a protective cover.  Vacuum will not pull fluid through the bleeder if it is closed and not leaking.  If the bleeder was leaking, you would be pulling air in as well as pushing fluid out.  Clean the inside of the boot well and I bet the problem goes away.

Thanks howie. I will give it a go and report back.

I thoroughly cleaned the boot and was actually able to tighten it a little more (I honestly thought I was going to break the bleeder).  I think the problem is solved.

Thanks.
