IIRC here in NY deadly force is not justifiable for defense of property.

Doesn't mean the make the beast with two backser wouldn't deserve it according to my rules.  [evil]

'my rules'  almost always different than law in most states.    good to learn your local issues.    and even then it takes a lot of money to take a life without major ramifications.

It's still buy a flounder a drink month

As far as I'm concerned, this should be pretty cut and dry.

When you skulk around stealing shit from folks, you're involving yourself in a high risk business. You want some of peoples' stuff without paying for it, and other people would like to keep the things that they own. If you get injured or killed while plying your trade, you shouldn't be surprised and it really isn't anyone's fault but your own. [coffee]

Except in Texas.

i have had guys reach back and grab my crotch in an attempt to get around me. i'll either blow in their ear or ask them politely to let go of my wang.

I'm amazed that he wasn't just blown away with both barrels which is the De rigueur burglar way of death in this country.

this is why my swords aren't that sharp, but my knives are very sharp. if my katana or samurai swords were properly sharp, they would have no issues going through a person far enough to kill quickly. that does not include stabbing. plus the weight of the words alone would injure the person even if they were completely blunted.

the knives however, i want them to slice quickly, i can't get enough force behind them to really sever anything without having the person incapacitated first. if you get a good cut on someone and they see the blood flow they will most likely go defensive and just try to get away. remember "there's no art in killing with the tip."

the "home defense axe" would prob split wood, but if i pulled that on someone it would be just to scare them.

Damn right. And that includes protecting your car, even if it's out on the street or driveway.

You should test it out - preferably on Kanye West. Let us know how well it works.  ;D

I'm pretty sure it is the same in LA too.  When I lived down in NOLA I remember hearing about a guy that blew away another dude trying to steal his car.  The owner was on his porch, the thief was in the car on the street, and there was nothing wrong with what he did (legally)

took the concealed carry course in Louisiana recently. They said we could not shoot to protect property legally.

This story presents one of the best reasons I can think of NOT to live in Baltimore!  The DA had not yet determined whether or not to press charges on the burglary victim?  Really?
