I gotta tell ya, a Ninja 250 is a blast to race.  But as spectator the only thing interesting about 'em is being able to chase down the riders mid-race (and on foot) while they're truckin' down the main straight and get an autograph.

The weight of the sharpie drops another 10mph off their pace, so it isn't an issue.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

You know who else has a massive ego? Agostini. Mladin is nowhere near Agostini but don't sit here & say it's not deserved just because you don't like the guy. You presume your opinion of someone's personality has a bearing on their ability or their achievements?

Agostini has been taking shots at Rossi makes me want to see Rossi beat Agostini's record too but not to dismiss Agostini's ability or incredible record.

sometimes Ego and Personality and Ability collide and sometimes they are cohesive partners...they are parts that add to a whole picture...you look at someone who has an ego, generally they have some talent that bears the fruit for an ego, but it is tempered by personality...you look at someone like Bayliss or Corser or Spies or Toseland...all multiple year champions and all have great talent and all have a level of ego that is well deserved...but where you see the difference between them and Mladin is the personality that they temper it with...much like Pedrosa to a small degree who also seems to not have much of a personality, instead of an abrasive one....the personality plus talent turns ego into pure arrogance and that I think is what turns people off...at least for me...

this is all in the case of where it is deserved of being respected and admired for their talent and overlooking ego....some like say Johnny Rock Page for example who have an ego that is undeserved to a degree...that degree being that he doesn't have the pedigree or resume even though he is still faster on a track than anyone on this board, I'd bet...

anyways...it is all bench racing BS for us here....
