Have a question for you all here, getting ready to change the oil on my S4R, but looking at it I realize the mid-pipe crosses directly under the oil drain plug.  How do I go about removing the mid-pipe?  Do I just remove it where it meets the cylinder and swing it out of the way?

Another question, what size crush washer do you all use?

Thanks for the help guys.

I never move the pipe on my 900, just drain the oil then clean the pipe with ether(starting fluid) or brake cleaner.

Cover the mid-pipe with tinfoil before you drain the oil, you can even shape the foil to "channel" any oil into the catch basin.

Also, you can use the same crush washer if you don't have a new one, just clean it and flip it over, then torque to spec!

Thanks for the info guys, the problem is that the mid-pipe runs directly under the oil plug, can't get an hex wrench on it at all.
