Perzactly! Helmet stayed off during the parade. I felt quite naked hopping around town and then back across the river in a tank top, tie, jeans, torn-up tennis shoes, gloves, and helmet. Next year I'll leave time to stash the full gear at Hy's office on RI, since we no longer live right by there.

next time...wear a tie with lil squids and octopii on it and I'll forgive you...LOL...wink wink!

Saw a matte black S2R while eating at Shake Shack on Conn. Ave by the Mayflower hotel around 7:15ish.  Then spotted a *96 on M street around 9:00 ish headed towards Foggy Bottom.  Believe it was red and white striped.  Didn't get a good look at the rider.  Might have been a woman.

I want to fix the crooked poorly proportioned 666 on that otherwise gorgeous bike sooooo badly.

Not ugly (aside from the f***ed up licence plate), but what's with the ST tank?

Its the ca-cyclworks tank. Its plastic, but I prefer it alot more than the stock tank

I'd really like to see that in person one time. I'm not sold on the look just from photos, but I like the idea. No expansion issues, better ergos, more capacity, etc. My biggest questions are the quality of the finish and ability to hold paint.

According to their website it is an unpaintable surface. I've noticed that the finish is prone to rub marks and light scratches, nothing that polish and some elbow grease can't fix. Also, with a full tank of gas and hard braking, gas will leak out of the gas cap. For me, it was simply the more economical choice than fixing the old tank. I can say that techspec or stomp grip is neccassary for the ride.

Yeah, PEX is supposed to be pretty much unpaintable from what I understand. I have some vinyl that SHOULD be able to stick to it but who knows.

Its a track tank, so finish really shouldn't be much of an issue for the common buyer. Full lifetime warrently including poor installation though
