Does this still work?

Reset the MAINT light:

Hold down the left button. Turn the bike on. Release the button.

DoH! I tried, & it indeed does work on the Paul SMart ('06 SPort Classic). You have to hold the left button down through the complete initializing cycle...

I've tracked down the oil leak on the Paul Smart. The oil cooler is leaking at the seams on one side. It was not leaking at the fittings.
A new cooler is $300. ( Shocked Tongue ), & the 2 dealerships I have called do not have them in stock.
We can't tell if the cooler is simply pressed together, or if it is soldered or something.
I've called a radiator company that's actually open this Monday morning, so I'm taking it over for them to look at...
Any other ideas/suggestions?

that's definitely your best bet actually, those places usually are very good with this kind of thing, you've got it off the bike right?

Whew! I took the oil cooler to a radiator shop yesterday (yes, they were open Memorial Day), & they pressure tested it, but couldn't find a leak. They went ahead & put a nice fat weld around where I thought it was leaking. Did it while I waited... $10.
Got it back together & fired it up, & let it idle for quite awhile. Looking good, so I rode to the gas station.
Got it up to around 8k rpm, & about 210 degrees.

NO LEAK  waytogo

Thanks for everyone's input  Grin

I will do this for you for $600.  I'm sure that is less than what AMS would charge.

Okay here's a very technical question David?

If a train is coming from New York at 126mph going to San Diego
and another train is coming from San Diego at 149mph going to New York
and another train is coming from Seattle at 86mph going to Miami
and another train is coming from Miami at 113mph going to Seattle,
How many people will not be drunk when all 4 trains cross? Huh?

hmm, I don't think the trains can ever cross all at the same time... so that would be 0!

Hold on a minute; they serve alcohol on trains?  That changes everything!
