I have a custom mapped PCIII non usb for my `02 750. I had cut my exhaust down a few inches due to some damage. It now backfires around 3500-4000 on acceleration when its warm. I wanted to try to add a little more fuel into it and see if it will work before I bring it in to get it re dyno`d. I figured worst case I just reload the original map I pull off of it. I downloaded the software and got it to connect to my old laptop with an rs232 cable. I got the rpm, throttle position, duty cycle etc, When I try to upload the map to my comp it says" its not compatible" Is there a firmware upgrade for it, or is there a different version of software. Here is a screen shot of it running.

I've had the same issue at the exact same rpm range - probably off topic but check for exhaust leaks. Thats was my issue. If you crashed/dropped the bike this may be your problem not your mapping.

More specifically check the connections to the rear cylinder. Thats where my issue was.

I had replaced the exhaust gaskets, new header, re tightened the header and slip on clamps. I guess it could still have a leak. the rear header bolts are a PITA to get to I couldn`t find my universal when I tightened them. I will re check tomorrow.

Anyway does anyone know how I can gain access to my PCIII?
