This was it. The big race. Cooper began mentally preparing himself to barrel down the road, hoping to stave off the competition.....
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I've been looking for the people who broke into my house last winter & stole my mountain bike and that case of tires.

I saw this thing come down the hill at the Portland Adult Soap Box Derby.  Before it came into view they made an announcement that a competitor was coming through with 'very little control'.  They were going fairly slow by the end and the thing seemed to want to drift right or left, didn't like going straight.  Maybe it went straight better when it had some speed.

I was wondering that looking at the photo and thinking "Hmm, would you steer or counter-steer that thing?"

Y'know how wider rear tires can kinda make your bike handle a little weird?  Take that to a 4' wide tire and put 'em front and back.  Not the best plan for geometry.  Gotta say though, the way they mated that moto disc and caliper for a really functional brake was way cool.  Though they came up just short and ran out of coasting speed toward the end and had to push it the last few feet, they got a big round of applause when they crossed the finish line.
