changed the headlamp / front light unit on a monster 696 yet ?

I keep looking at mine and im in two minds

Do i rip it apart and powder coat or spray the silvery part of the light to match the other black half or
Do i try to install something with a more streetfighter type look > a sort of double light kind of thing ?

I dont want anything too retro but then again i look at mine and think
"you could be a ugly bike transformer" sometimes....
maybe im just crazy and (like my mrs) will never be happy ?
who knows not i ?

You know, I am a huge fan of the dual lamp setup but I don't know how good it would look on a late Monster. It's proportions might not look right?

im sure you could find someone with an older style monster to swap headlights with.

the new headlights fit better on the older style and vice versa (IMO)

I think there was some discussion on that and people had posted photochopped pics.  The new headlights looks great on the old monster.  You might want to look it up.  I would totally post a link to that but I suck at searching....  Now where is that derby police when we need one.   laughingdp

That would be mine.... It's not the easiest mod, but not the hardest.... I wish I would of gone with the dual headlight look, but at the time, I wasn't too aggressive in changing the appearance and wanted to keep the look simple.... Now, I wish I would of gone to the dual. I think the dual headlights would of lined up perfect with the windscreen and gave the bike an even more unique look.... I still might even change it this winter when I start some more modding
