The left side is the problem ,i have seen some with and without a hole for a pickup coil

Hi there, Im also looking at the magnesium wet clutch side for my S2R800.  What are the real advantages of magesium apart it looks great?  Its alot of money to spend... Thanks for the info.

It's (ridiculously) light, it is good for you and makes a great laxative.

It provides entertainment, it self destructs if exposed to rainwater (don't scratch the coating) and sparks itself silly if you lowside it.

Clutch side is 1 lb lighter.  Alternator side maybe lighter but as stated durability is an issue.  To me this is a mod if you have done everything else because its mostly visual and $$$.

cases or side covers?

i wasn't aware anyone made a replacement engine case out of magnesium.  it can be done, the volkswagen bug (old) was magnesium -- the pre-70s version had too much magnesium and was prone to igniting too, they changed it to add more aluminium.

U can pick up these on www.eBay.it   Do a search for ducat magnesio and they'll come up. Much cheaper than the OEM kit from ducati  Grin
