Well based on my past BBQ experience, which by no means makes me an expert, I would say it is a gas grill.

Key signs include, gas tank holder in the back, the thick tightly arranged grill that seems to be cast iron, the air vents along the side to allow fresh oxygen to the burners and the knobs on the front to change the amount of heat. The lack of ability to control the vents opening also points away from charcoal. The charcoal flame is controlled mostly by available oxygen, need a cooler fire for some veggies or chicken close some vents, need a hot fire for some 6 min steaks open those pregnant doges up.

Most everything is gas these days.

You can't put anything over on TCK! The boy does know his grilling apparatus.

Have you seen Traeger pellet grills?   Not gas, but with the convenience of one and all the flavor of wood smoke/charcoal.
Jaman has one, and the food comes off the grill juicy ass hell and tastes amazing.
