You can make arguments like that for every good play during an entire season - it is sort of worthless to do what ifs.

They came back and won in the last minute of the game - period.  Farve was instrumental in it, and he has been doing such come backs his whole career.  Plus, he is still throwing blocks for people down field at 40.  How many 30yo qbs do that?

that won't change the fact that people feel the need to suck him off every chance they get.

Nothing can save the Browns from themselves ......they eat their young .  i.e. pulling Brady Quinn after 3 games.

Its not the browns, its Mangini, that guy is make the beast with two backsing RETARDED. He doesnt care about football, he doesnt care about the game. He just cares about having a job. Once the team starts losing, he gives up. Mangini was why the Jets suck. After he left, things started picking up because even a 5th grader could be more motivating than him.

Well, if we're sucking QB cocks, have you seen how the young guys are playing? Sanchez, Flacco, Matt Ryan? Too early to jump on Sanchez' bandwagon and Matt Ryan has played very well even with his last loss, but Flacco is the savior of Baltimore. You also have Drew Brees. This year is the return of the super star QB's. This is mostly because of running back by commity and the focus of many teams to stopping the run.

I have been watching the Packers for the last 20 years. I have to say that watching Farve play for the Vikings is really against everything I stand for. However after GB ran him out of town, I could not be happier for him. He still has probably 5 years of good football left in him. I still want the Packer's to win (14 and 2) that would be fine if the Vik's win the 2 each year.

I believe this time last year there was much the same accolades heaped on the indecisive one. Not saying the same thing will happen this year, but it could.

Favre had another great game today. It was really sad (and just pathetic really) to hear all the Packer fans boo him as he took the field. The guy just wants to play, and was no longer given the chance in Green Bay, so he looked elsewhere.

Great to see him play so well despite the situation. Probably felt really good  [thumbsup]

WHEN they enshrine him in Canton, he'll be remembered as a Packer. Packers fans should remember that.

When Green Bay played in Cleveland, MANY of the Packers fans were wearing Favre jerseys.

It wasn't pathetic...it was great! Green Bay didn't kick Favre out...he RETIRED. Then, after GB had given the starting position to Rogers, Favre said he wants to come back. WTF? Nice position to put the team in. Rodgers is GB's future, and team management knew it. If they'd have given Favre back his job, Rodgers would have been furious. They can't treat their future QB like that. Everything would have been fine at GB if Favre wouldn't have retired and then tried to come back.

Also, If he would have came back as a Jet (or any other non-NFC North team) he would have gotten cheers. But a VIKING?!? The only thing worse is if he would have went to the Bears. Seriously, all the other teams in the league and he went to GB's second most hated (close second) rival.

He deserved to get booed, and deserves it every time he plays in GB with the Vikings. Just like how Jason Giambi got booed after he left the A's for the hated Yankees. Us A's fans loved Giambi, and he up and left despite the $120M contract offer...so he got booed...every single time he played in the Coliseum for the next 8 years. When he came back to the A's this year, he was cheered again, as he hould have been.

Finally, Favre knows why the fans booed him...because they love him. It doesn't bother him, and I'm sure he expected it. They didn't boo Ryan Longwell (kicker) because no one really cared about him. Fans boo the players they love and wish were still on the team. When Favre enters the Hall as a Packer, GB will again cheer him. They will also probably retire the number 4. Similar situation with the 49ers, who retired Montana's number after he entered the Hall. Only difference is Montana played for the neutral Chiefs, not the hated Cowboys before retiring.

I actually agree with some of what you are saying, BUT, he was a packer for many many years, won them a super bowl and will likely go to the hall of fame as a packer, yet all the "fans" booing him was tasteless and disrespectful. Period.

He was a Packer for 16 years. If the fans booing him was tasteless and disrespectful, then him going to the Vikings was the same. Team/player loyalty has to work both ways.  ;)

I would have booed him too if I was a Packers fan. Besides...things like this are what makes sports fun to watch and follow.  [thumbsup] Booing players shouldn't be taken too seriously.  ;)
