Meet the new, overpriced, underpowered Suzuki.

Supposedly this an all new bike with 85% new parts.  The only things I see that are new are the wheels and the integrated turn signals & mirrors.  I'm afraid this may be Harley-Davidson's idea of an all new bike.

Man, that's a bad ass scooter.  I'd love to have one.

Are you looking to buy one?
Not right now.  I am still enjoying my current Monster which is new to me since this May.  However, I've always thought these were awesome bikes.  This feeling has been intensified since seeing several at my local Ducati shop.  Also, I've seen a few for sale locally with very low miles and very reasonable prices.  So this has got me thinking about the possibilities.

They ride fantastic.

Not impressed with their build quality (at least, on the only one I've been involved with). The reputation for crappiness everyone seems to think Ducati has? It's been accurate for the Brutale.

They ride fantastic.

You forgot to mention the binary throttle control.

There's about 1 mm position difference between "I ain't got power" and "Holy shit I'm flying off the back of the bike!" Shocked.

Bike is well named. Wink

What are the maintenance costs on the brutales?

We've been doing all the work but so far we've had:

Headlight coming out of housing.
Mysterious "hitch" at 6k RPM. Took a few trips to the dealer to sort out. That being right smack in the powerband, it sort of sucked to ride.
Leaky countershaft seal (requires a large teardown). Still I/P.

This has about 15k miles on it so far. Not impressed.

Pretty neat launch video.  Problem is, I don't recognize the guy at the desk... Definately not the guy that penned the lines on this bike.  Tamburini, wherefore art thou???

What kills me about this bike is that it has less HP and Torque that the 1078 model.  It also weighs more...WTF??  Angry

It is the same bike.  Somebody at MV Agusta just printed out a different (probably closer to the truth) spec sheet.

Big manufacturer doing a commercial with guys pullin' wheelies on open roads & goin' out partying.

In the states, it's going through the canyons at the speed limit, and looking "cool" in a parking lot & smiling alot.

Gotta love the Euro way of life  waytogo
