While not everyone needs to be a part of a group, and for many motorcycling is a solo/rebelious activity, I don't consider people like that to be real motorcyclists. Not real riders. They either don't have enough experience to understand the bond, or are in it for the cool factor only, or both. Or maybe he has a grudge against you because he keeps getting passed by Ducati riders in the twisties.

I've met riders like that... usually squids. Luckily, most of the riders in my building are coworkers, so we have a pretty good parking system in place.

it wasn't so much that my feelings were hurt, i have enough friends, great family and a good life, it was more the chance to know another rider (of three total) in the same building etc.

I beat him in 9 out of 10 days - maybe he is just jealous of the sweet parking space i 'created' between two poles with lots of knock down protection.
