We going to finish up the Angels,

It would have been great to see Torie battle it out with NYY

but unfortunately the Phillie got the Dodgers..

I hate it when people hates the Yanks for no good reasons.

That's enough reason right there.
Woohoohoohoo! Two personal records! For breath holding and number of sharks shot in the face.

crap..i think philly is going to explode.

hopefully there is no destroying of property as a celebration this year.  [roll]

the best part of this is i get to tell my g/f to stop complaining that philly never wins anything  [laugh]

Seriously, when i am 800years old i want to rock like Lemmy! it is a religion that requires lots of determination, drugs, and Marshall stacks.

well, I love them because, I grew up close to NYC, and all you hear on the radio, and television was Yankees.  My first baseball game was at old Yankees stadium with my older brother.... love the energy and thrills, and the trash talking  [thumbsup]...

when I moved to Houston,  there were no excitement on the field and in the stadium....

the umps didn't help create any more love for the Yankees that's for sure....Play Ball!! [beer]

oddly enough i dislike NY teams for the same reason you like the yankees.
the media seems to drone on and on about them. i'm tired of hearing about it.

plus philly is like the little brother. they get mentioned every now and then, but the oldest kid gets all the praise.
it sucks being the #4 market on the east coast.

Ok. Yanks and the Phillies. Last time was 1950

2 Oct. 5 New York (Reynolds) *2  PHlLADELPHlA (Roberts) 1
3 Oct. 6 NEW YORK (Ferrick) 3  Philadelphia (Meyer) 2
4 Oct. 7 NEW YORK (Ford) 5  Philadelphia (Miller) 2

This should be a great series matching two very good and very similar teams- the #1 & #2 home run hitting teams, both good defensive teams and neither seeming to have an edge in pitching.... Well, except for Mariano Rivera.

The Irony Factor: Two ex-Cleveland lefties going head-ti-head.

All games are in the Eastern Time Zone. With apologies to the Dodgers, the Angels are the next best team after these two.
Nobody said that I did. Everyone says that I would.
