The flat land isn't the issue.  But the straight roads suck!  Grin

One of my new neighbors (who happens to have a 996) just transferred to Albuquerque from Louisiana (I think Barksdale AFB) and was telling me all about how flat and straight everything is.....and that's northern LA.  Where's the local racetrack, and what's the deal with it?

The track is called No Problem Raceway and is located in Belle Rose.  Its between New Orleans and Baton Rouge.  The primary business is the drag strip but there is a 1.8 mile road course with 14 turns.  We run once a month through Tiger Track Days.  Both organizations have websites for further info.

The road racing situation here is about to explode.  The owners of No Problem sold the road course to a track club organization and they are going to extend the course to 4 miles in length.  That should happen in the next year or so.

But the big news is New Orleans Motorsports is a new organization that is planning to build a completely new facility in New Orleans.  They are planning on spending $35 million on a national caliber facility within the metro area.  So we're pretty excited.

There are at least 4 of them that I know of, maybe 5 if SwampD's 696 stayed in-state.  Grin

There is really cool shop in NO.

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

It was rather a tease, Bick, but thanks for the info.  I'll have to check out the local Ducati shop next time I visit the Big Easy.

Thanks for the "heads up" on No Problems, too.  I've heard of the facility, but I had no idea where it's located.

All hail the conquering LA (not to be confused with L.A.) Duc crew!!   [moto]

That's probably the one Duc NO just sold a couple months back. Had like 1000 miles on it.
As far as other Ducs, I've got 2 of 'em, and the 696 I sold stayed in Uptown NOLA  Grin
