The MPL billet frame plug kit groups the M1000 with the S2R/S4R and 695/620

http://www.mpl-tuningparts.de/shopd/d_MPL_013_02_00_X__h1_Rahmenschutzer_Satz_fur_Monster_S2R_S4R_M1000_in_Schwarz.php

The ST2/ST4 is apparently a 3 plug kit from MPL, though those 3 plugs are part of the 5 plug group for the S2R/4R/M1000/695/620.

That makes sense.

Wouldn't 2 of the monster locations be hidden by fairings on the ST?

Sounds like a YES to me.   FWIW, there are three plugs on right side of the frame on the M1000, and two on the left side (the upper one near the seat isn't there).

Thanks to all for you help!

TIme for Plan B....

Does someone know/can tell me where to measure the frame to get the plug size?  Is it the inside diameter of the hole, the outside diameter ?

Thanks.

Since the plug goes inside the frame, I vote inner diameter.

If the M1000 has the same frame as the S4R...then three of the holes are 24mm and one is 23mm
