You're probably right.  Henderson and Bisbing are going to bang it out so someone (Bisbing says its going to be Henderson for the first time ever) is going to get knocked out.  I see GSP wanting to make a statement and Thiago pushing so that one should end quick.  Lesnar absolutely hates Mir and I can see him coming out ready to knock his head clean off.

GSP by ground and pound decision (he takes him down immediately and just pommels him like he's done to his last few opponents).

Mir after Lesnar almost rips his head off his shoulder with a punch wakes up and takes Lesnar down where Lesnar acts like a turtle on his back until he gets submitted.

Henderson stands there eating punches until he takes Bisping down and lays on top of him landing punches and keeping busy. Henderson decision.

Mir / Lesnar: Mir, since Lesnar thinks he can fight now.  He'd have done better sticking with the bull rush and overpowering Mir.
Hendo / Bisping: Hendo's made a career out of being tougher than talented guys, and he's been way tougher than guys that are way more talented than Bisping.  Bisping's gonna have to hope for a boring decision.
GSP / Alves: GSP by superior game plan.  Alves will try to blast GSP with a non-stop MT barrage.  GSP will take shots but Alves won't land clean, and Alves will gas in the 4th & 5th rounds.  GSP will grind him down on the mat at that point.

Other picks:
Fitch
Coleman via "eat the turnbuckle"
O'Brien (Jake used to work at the bar next to mine and is a really nice guy when he isn't smashing faces in)
Danzig
Kim aka Stun Gun... y'know, the guy that lost a draw to Karo on name recognition until Karo pissed a gallon of horse tranq...

Oughta be a good show.

He just can't get the WWF out of his system. What a clown. He really is an embarrassment to the UFC.

Henderson. Thank you. I hate the Bisbing.

Sore loser, poor sportsmanship...the makings of a true champion.

Yes, quite an embarrassment H.

What a knock out!  Bisbing talked a lot of thrash and had that coming. WOW!!  :o

Like I've said in the past though..back off when a guy is clearly out.  Awesome knockout but I noticed in the highlights that was Dan's signature move, i.e.: knock out the opponent and then land a monster-pile-driving-punch on them before the ref can stop it.

Didn't see any of the fights, but it sounds like Lesnar didn't make any friends with his display of sportsmanship. Was the GSP/Thiago fight any good?

Yes, pretty good but mainly one-sided.  GSP dominated.  He took Thiago down 9/10 attempts.  Punished him on the ground.  Thiago really had no chance to use his kicks/knees.  He did use his strength to lift GSP off him a couple times to get back to his feet.  I really don't think Thiago had ever been in that position (being dominated with nowhere to go and getting bloodied up).  His face was comparable to Mir's.  I like the guy though and hope this will make him a stronger fighter.  GSP is just too damn good!!  He pulled his groin though at the end.  Hopefully this won't affect his future.

No, Lesnar was an azz from beginning to end.  Didn't touch gloves, got in Mir's face after the fight wo talk sh*t, gave the crowd a mouthful and flipped them off.  Had nothing positive to Rogan say except that he was going home to drink beer and to mount his wife after.  The fans that were cheering for him at the beginning of the fight (across from me at the bar) even had looks of "WTF?" on their faces after the fight.

Lesnar did a good job on the ground though.  Mir acknowledged that too in the interview after.  Unfortunately, Mir didn't get any good shots in except for a knee to the face.  Mir used his weight again but this time he had Mir's leg tied and his arm over his head.  He gave him a lot of shots and then had him against the rope in that position and pretty much destroyed him!

I missed the CB and Danzig fights.  Who saw those??  Which fight soaked the mat in blood?! :o

come on, you guys have to realize that lesnar is doing the typical "rival" thing.

he has to be the "bad guy" or the heel in the ufc to create controversy.   he knows that entertainment sells and that if he is hated by people, people will pay more money the next time to see him get beaten.  its typical showmanship.

the only thing you can do is not buy into it and realize he is doing all this for entertainment to make you hate him so that there is more talk up for mir/lesnar 3 which will happen probalby in a year or so.

Danzig got cut badly, and Coleman opened up Bonner.

Jake O'Brien didn't do too well against Jones, but Fitch ground out a win so I'm happy.  I think he's one win away from another shot at the 170 belt, but I don't see it going any differently than last time if he's up against GSP again.

I figured Lesnar would try all his new skills and try to fight pretty, but he went with what worked in the past and it worked again.  I'm settling in for a long run of really, really boring UFC heavyweight fights as long as Lesnar's got the belt.  If he can just slam and overpower huge, talented guys like Mir, we're gonna be seeing that for a long time.  And personally, I don't care who Lesnar is going home to climb on top of as long as it's not me.

I'm really looking forward to Florian/Penn.  That should be a good one.
