If i was on a budget, new springs for the forks and get it dialed in as best you can...

All of the previous advice is excellent.
Get it set up for you and how you like to ride.
14T is great but I haven't done it on my 2nd bike.

Honestly though, pipes of your choice would be a first step cause at the moment I know it sounds like a sewing machine.
But modding is all about what you like, check out everybody's bikes in the community and it is very un-likely
you'll find two the same.
Some might look similar having accessories from popular manufacturers Rizoma/Speedymoto/Arrows/ to name a few.
once you get a feel for it you will know what to do and look for input and advice on certain parts you are looking at.

You do need to get out and ride it though and you'll need to find a helmet to fit your  ;D into.

cheers

+ 1 for LOUDENERS

+1 for a more reasonable mirror setup

Here's the first thing I did when I brought my brand new S2R1K home.....

+11tyb on just getting some miles on the clock.

I know it is tempting to pull it all apart and make it even better, but more time in the seat will inform your decisions better.

Of course, you can never go wrong with frame sliders as a first mod.

CRG's rock for bar end mirrors.  Rizoma makes some cool mirrors also.
Only issue w/ CRG's are that the black anodizing turns purple in less then 1 season which IMO sucks.

My personal preference is to lowside it to authenticate the tank.  Try both sides if you're into that symmetry, like me.

You may want to do that before you add bar-end mirrors and expensive levers, but that's up to you.

////serious now: +1 to clutch cover and pipes

1. 14 tooth front sprocket
2. open clutch cover
3. take off the poor excuse for a fairing
4. get the pipes cored or go aftermarket.
5. bar end mirrors.
6. clean up the tailchop

Ride it like you stole it. I had my s2r for 2 years without doing any mod except had the suspension tuned by a race bike tuner based on my weight.
I think the bike is not for everyone so give it some seat time before you invest mod on it. I have a friend just traded  his s4r in for a griso for a more relaxed riding position.
I am starting to mod it since I am sured that I like keep it for a long time.
