Some better pictures as promised! You can also check out electrosport.com to see more tech info on the gauge. If anybody is interested in getting one, a good friend of mine works there, and would probably be willing to offer some kind of good buddy discount. Just shoot me a p.m. if you are interested.

Yummy.  I like that a lot.  It has the same general look as Drunken Monkey's motogadget set-up, just not mounted in a Harley headlight.

Occasionally AFM #702  My stuff:  The M1000SS, a mashed r6, Vino 125, the Blonde, some rugrats, yuppie cage, child molester van, bourbon.

I like the look of the motogadget unit a lot, but it was a bit out of the range I was willing to spend. I also like buying from a local company for the ease of tech support.

What great instrument arrays. Better than the Road Racing unit I put on a while back.  >:(

I hate to ask the obligatory "what exhaust is that" question but... is it a SIL? Marving?

If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.
Stealing their magic geese and helping them plummet to their deaths also has its advantages.

do the  mega's clamp on right at the end of the can? and if so, what diameter is piping they clamp on to? i love megaphones... and might hack up my zard exhaust if the fit would be proper...

Ya, they clamp on straight at the end of the pipes. I couldn't tell you what diameter the pipe is. I will measure it tomorrow at work if I remember to.

Super slick on the gauges.  It reminds me of a vintage British bike now, super clean!  Anything that makes a Monster more minimal is ok by me.

my thoughts exactly......just a really clean, minimalist, vintage type look. Goes great with the exhaust.

The final touch to my quest to be rid of the curse that is the ducati gauge and immobilizer package!! Already installed was a reflashed DP ECU that eliminated the immobilizer, now I got my hands on an Acewell 4000 series gauge to top it off. No more worries about riding in the rain, these things will run underwater!! Seriously, I've seen it done! It took some time scouring the wiring schematics for the bike, and a few editions of harnesses of my own design to figure out how to wire it up as the factory gauge uses a CAN bus for a good amount of data that is being displayed. I also had to rebuild the turn signal circuit since the factory gauge acts as the power supply and the flasher. All said and done I am very pleased with how it has turned out. I do still need to fab up a proper mount for it. I just threw something together with some scrap aluminum I had in my tool box. The profile of the bike is much improved, the new gauge seems to fit the lines better than the factory pod did. Sorry for the poor quality photos, I forgot my camera and had to use the cell phone instead.

So I was looking into getting this and I've got a few questions for you.

1 Now that you've had it on for a bit, how do you like it? any specific likes/dislikes?
2. Any wiring trouble? all the indicators working properly?
3. cost of the gauge?

thanks!

I like the gauge very much. The wiring was a pain in the ass, and would have been worse I expect if I didn't have 7 years of experience with automotive electronics. The indicators work great the way I have them set up. I can't think of any immediate cons to the whole experience. I mostly installed it for looks, and because I was tired of the stock gauge dying every time I rode in the rain. I am not positive on the cost, but I think that it is about $250. If you are interested in it talk to the guys at electrosport, they can give you more specifics than I can.

Awesome! Glad you Like it! Unfortunately, I have 0 years of experience with automotive electronics, so if I happen to purchase this I am going to be nagging the hell out of you for some wiring help!
