Speeds:
  • Keep it at 10 - 15 mph over the limit when cruising open stretches.
  • Slow down to ~5 over MAX through any small towns.
  • Go whatever you feel comfortable at when going through curves.

If we get separated:
  • We will regroup at all major highway exits, turns, etc., or at least make sure everyone is accounted for.
  • If people are peeling off the loop, they need to make sure we know so we can keep a head count.
  • Everyone looks out for each other.

Twisties:
  • Go single file.
  • Give each other plenty of space.
  • Let the faster guys by.
  • Go only as fast as you feel comfortable, don't feel like you need to catch up.
  • We'll regroup regularly throughout the trip so no one gets left behind.

Passing other cars on open stretches:
  • If you can, try to make sure there is room for the whole group to pass.
  • If not, pass when you get a chance, individually, and then we'll make sure that no one will be left behind.
  • Don't pass just because the guy in front of you did, especially in the twisty stuff.

I hope we don't see too many highbeams.

Same signal used to warn others of LEO's.

This post may make a good sticky, as it is good for new riders as well as riders who might not group ride often...
