Who's still racin' for a ride?

DeAngelis I think is the only guy still holding out for a possible GP seat... pending some money being thrown at him.

Ducati reports Stoner forgot to turn off his ipod during the warm up lap.  The track he was listening to?...

RACE SPOILER

Well, that's one way to ensure that next year stars off with harmony in the Tech3 pit.  From CE:  "And thank you Ben. I love Ben. He's not even my team-mate yet, but I love him."  BTW, Pay up, bishes.   Grin

I'm still trying to figure out WTF happened with Casey.   Huh?  Edit:  cold tires.  Youch, that's rookie.  http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/80092  That's twice this year one of the aliens binned it on the warm-up (or was Lorenzo last year?).  Weird.

Did you notice that both DeAngelis and Elias finished way up in the final standings but neither has a GP ride for next year?  Maybe it's cuz they were teh suck at the beginning of the season and didn't start riding like they meant it until after the silly season was well under way.

Didn't some DMFer go to Valencia last year? Any lucky ones this year?

I went with DanTheMan and datv.  This year's World President's Meeting was at Imola for WSBK, not MotoGP.  DanTheMan went.  Some of his pics are in the WSBK thread.

I admire Ayoma for still going for it, but it almost cost him. If i didn't know better id say simocelli was trying to get Ayoma to crash by making some tight passes, but thats his typical style. He should have never been trying to fight for the win.

Spies was pretty good there after he got in Elbowz mode.

in the last half of the race, he was faster than everybody on track except for the guys that made the podium (including colin).

Elias in typical style puts in an effort a little too late in the season. The 250 race was great. I will definitely miss the 250's. Next year will be interesting, several talented new rookies in the mix. To another season gone... chug

maybe not for the win, but hanging back and taking it easy has it's own risk of losing concentration and making a mistake. sometimes it's actually easier/safer to push because you stay focused.
