This thread got me thinking, looked but couldn't find one.

Anyone seen a diecast of the 68' Charger from Blade.  That car was what made me fall in love with cars when I was 14.

If you ever come accross one let me know.

For a cool $375 you can have this one:

In all honesty though, you could easily mod a stock one from Ertl or even the one from Fast and Furious. The latter would be my choice. All you'd need was to find a replacement hood and remove the blower. Piece of cake!

i've got mine in moving boxes, still.
that was 6 years ago

i'm partial to 1:18 scale and have mostly
Ferraris (mostly road models + one F1, Mercedes gullwing/sl amg/slr, porsches, lambos, cobras/vipers, a saleen, speedracer and more?
mostly made by Burago, not like the expensive autoarts, etc

it's been a while and i really need to build a case for them so I can look at them again.
i was a car guy before becoming a Ducatista.

I know where a full sized 308GTS resides.  ;D Unfortunately, it has some serious fueling issues and hasn't been on the road in 4 years now...if you think the models are spendy, trying buying PARTS for the full sized ones. Lol.

I have a collection of Italian and German super cars. Some courtesy of my good buddy Joel.  [beer]
I will work on getting pics up...

Ciao!

I have a collection of "special" cars from the Danburry Mint that my grandfather started collecting for me when I was little. They are 1:24th scale, but absolutely amazing. They are each hand built and are from the 1930-1950s. My favorite being a 1935 Duesenberg SSJ Speedster:

My second favorite from that collection is an amazing 1958 Ferrari 250 Testarossa:

The V-12 under the hood is sheer beauty.

Those cars however live their lives inside of their special protective boxes so that no dust what-so-ever gets on them. I wish I could display them, but since my grandfather has since passed away, I don't want anything to happen to them.

Monster Dave,
Those are nice.

All,
So how do you have your models displayed?  In their original boxes? or in cases like Speeddog?  Please share pics.
I am contemplating building shelves in my home office (for the cars and signed sports memorbilia), but worry about dusting.

For those that are on display I've always used airtight containers for each one that are stackable. I'll get pics this weekend. It's not an elaborate display, but its clean and keeps them dust free. I've got them displayed nicely on top of a bookcase.

The cases that I have are hard to find anymore (which seems odd to me) but they are like this:

I just came across the most amazing display setup and was about to post it up, so it was perfect that you asked! This is a custom job, but I'd LOVE to have something like this:

Check it out, this guy even did the floors!!!

WOW!  [thumbsup]

The Fords:

I think that I spy a GT90 concept car to the right - that's an unusual one to have!  [thumbsup]

Have you ever came across an Indigo concept? Way back in the day I had a Mustang Mach III concept car similar to this one:

Correct - the white one on the right is indeed a Ford GT90. To its right is a yellow DeTomaso Pantera. To its left past the Viper coupe is an orange Saleen S7. Two more oddities with FoMoCo ties. On top of the case in that same pic, next to the black GT500, is a Ford RS200. Behind those two is a Ford GT concept (late model).

Never seen an Indigo diecast. I have a black Mach III in my Mustang case.  [thumbsup]

That display above is AWESOME!!!

So after only a week, I got a response back from an RC2 rep regarding an inquiry if they had any plans on releasing an A-Team van (RC2 holds the license) and his answer was sadly that there are no plans for any future hollywood cars at this time.  :-\

Glad I made my own - custom.  [thumbsup] I took pics of my collection over the weekend and will post them up soon.

In the mean time, I'll just have to wait for the Elite SEWest and Keaton editions of the Batmobile to be released:

Both come in a special finish and have extra detail.

I've already got both of the regular editions.

Here's the pic of my collection that I said that I'd post:

Lets see everyone else's collections!!!
