So I really like the no silencer look on monsters , I like how it shows off the SSSA , but I dont want to be an annoying jacka$$ to my neighbors with the noise , i have tried to listen online on youtube but you cant really tell the noise levels thru the computer. So I was wondering what is the most quiet under mount no silencer muffler mod.

A EXBOX
B BoomTubes
C Straight out of the udder

Also does anyone no if you have the udder powder coated does it stay on or does it crack and weaken over time because of the heat . ?

thanks James

Either way you go its going to be loud as hell.  Nothing remotely quiet about any of those.

Ceramic coating an exhaust is made to withstand the heat, it may fade slightly but it should not crack or weaken.

Take the cans off the udder, and run it. If your neighbors complain tel them it is your world too, and that we all have to share(put up with each other). OR just put your stock cans back on.

+1 on the above exhaust choices, NONE of those are quiet. Boom tubes being the loudest, and sexiest...notice the correlation.

Sexy...loud...offensive(fun).
Ugly....quiet tolerable(no fun)

The ExBox is not very loud, is it?
At least, that has been the "complaint" a lot of people have had about it.
It's designed to comply with EU regulations (EURO3), emission and noise. Quite serious in some parts of Europe, as the Police can actually just take your bike and/or remove the exhaust pipes for immediate destruction.

from what i understand, exbox is rather "low-noise." I won't say it's quiet... but of those 3, i can pretty much guarantee it's the quietest. Get one, and just take it easy on the throttle early in the mornings, and nobody will hassle you too much...

Yeah, I was under the impression that the exbox is rather quiet in terms of aftermarket units. No FHE though so I can't be sure about that.

+1 on the ExBox. My understanding us that it is quite reasonable with the baffles in.

The other 2 options are going to be loud. Period.

Friend of mine has the BoomTubes on his S4R... damn thing is LOUD.  Louder than my full Termi 848 I'm sure.  The ExBox should be the quietest of the 3 choices.

and i got nothing to retort with....so touche' good sir!

I actually didn't know the ExBox was considered quieter. So please strike that from my former reply. However i still maintain my choice of women may be much like a bike, as NorDog has pointed out.

Udder with no pipes is LOUD. But not really in a good way (In my opinion). ExBox is probably the quietest of the three.

Having heard all 3 of the options:

ExBox is the quietest. Sounds good, nice rumble, but herm's clutch with the open cover rattles over top of the exhaust.

BoomTubes are the middle ground. Mark can put baffles in to meet your needs. He can also do all sorts of flashy, custom machined tips, too. I have them (with mid-loud baffles) on my Sport 1000. They're loud, but not obnoxious. I think they sound great and I really love the look. Also, you can take the baffles out with an Allen wrench and destroy greenhouses from 40 yards away.

Udder is the loudest. Can be painfully loud. To me, the sound is more "tinny" or "brash" than either of the other two options. Its a big hollow echo chamber with no baffling. Also cheap.

I have the ex box on mine and it isn't loud at all.  The top exhaust tip is replaceable with an open pipe or blank off pipe that look the same.  With it corked it is very quiet, uncorked it is still miles quieter than my old arrow system w/o baffles.

I agree, the Ex-box is probably your best choice if it's the look of the nekid rear you want.

Udder is the loudest.

Uhhh, I beg to differ. BoomTubes with no baffles is definitely louder than with just the udder...
