There's a race where somebody did hit a sign on the track, it didn't slow him down or anything, just confetti going everywhere.

Road racing on the back roads in the hills and forests is NOT for the faint of heart !

Takes a lot of practice on a bunch of lesser traveled , little patrolled roads at ever increasing speeds as one learns the finer points of Road racing in the 8 foot lane !*

* Not recommended for most riders

I would not recomend it to any one. The thing is that some times the motorcycle road racer is not the only one affected by an accident of such.

This is why I love IOM TT so so much. And, I do indeed love those types of roads.

BTW, the IOM TT was on HD Theater on Monday night.  I was flipping thru the channel and saw it.

Going 120-130 MPH on twisty country roads = INSANE!

I don't get he second crash in the ad.  He hadn't but just started the bar input when he went down.  Who looses it on a curve in the straight?  Had to be something there I don't see.  Mechanical or tire failure?

A closed course, corner workers, and an ambulance crew on standby are pretty handy, too.

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

You've all got it wrong. In racetracks in south Australia there actually are bus stops, park benches, trees and phone boxes in the run off areas.  [roll]

Doesn't anyone remember when F1 was run on a street circuit in Adelaide many years ago?

Thanks derby - I guess that would explain it.  It goes by pretty fast so it must be a serious handfull of brake.  I'm not the racer type and the nearest track day is thousands of miles away from me with no road from here to there.
