I was only a member of the DML for about 2 years, couldn't believe what I found when I logged in this afternoon  Undecided.  Oh well, to everything there is a season I suppose, but wait where are all the flashing advertisements  Grin

Glad to be here.  I tried to give DML a chance but i'm still in shock over the changes.  I was having a hard time reading the posts with all the flashing ads on the border.

Just kicking the tires and checking the fires.  I'd like to know who actually owns this board.  Is that written down somewhere?

The "other place" will never be the DML. The DML died. I almost did too...that place makes me want to put a bullet in my frontal lobe.

Only complaint I have is now I have 4 forums to check each day instead of just 2. *mutter*

Honestly, it is just a re-manufactured version of the old DML.  It doesn't seem like they put much thought into innovation, or uniqueness.  While good IS the enemy of great, mediocrity suits some just fine (I guess).

There was nothing wrong with the old site until today-why change it?

That and this way it feels familiar.

The reason they changed is so they could have fewer techs. All of their sites are vBulletin, not SMF...

I know why VS changed it-I was asking Sinister why we *wouldn't* want to keep basically the same format....

I think any question as to 'Why we're here' can now be answered by logging into the remnants of the DML...   <sigh>

AHHHH Now I can go to sleep tonight..  What a weird day.

I love you forever.

Yeah, the DML was never really about the site--it was all about the community and the folks you got to know over the years.  I joined in 2003 and visited just about every day.

Now all we need is a good Randall post...

Good too see everyone making their way over.

I can't handle the old DML.  I'm sure I'd get used to it, but this is so much better already. A huge  wt: to all that put this together.  I hope the rest of the gang migrates over here quickly so we can go back to life as usual.   dr::  btw, the new smilies are the bomb.  That's reason enough to hang out here.   ;:|
