WILL THEY FIT MY 05 M620?

Hi guys, gals,
Need help; after test riding my bike for about 25kms after a long recovery [down since Jan], it seems I do need to replace one of my front forks, but, I'd prefer to buy both, instead of Marzocchi go with Showa and to that effect, I've seen that the following have 53mm tubes, 748/749/996/998, all come with 65mm caliper mounts[yes I'll upgrade] and have or not adjustability.
The question is, will they fit my bike without or very minor mods?
Thanks, summer [dry season is coming] and will like to ride. Brake pad swap to EBC HH sintered did result in better braking feel and shorter distance.
Thanks for all the help you can give.

Look up Superbike conversion or SBK conversion for the details. Monster forks are 50mm at the top, 54mm lower down. SBK forks are 53 all the way. So you either need to bore out, or replace the top triple and shim the bottom

if you can find showa forks off a M900/M1000 or SS...those will be a direct replacement for your forks.
as mentioned SBK forks will require mods to the triples, and will also likely require changing to clip-ons as well (the forks are longer)

So if I were to buy a triple, could I buy the SBK complete triple and install it on my Monster?
Regarding the M900/M1000, those are 25mm axles right? What about S2R800/1000?

some aftermarket triples for the monster are made to fit sbk forks... the, um, bearings for the steering tube are different, iirc.
*forgive my lack of proper nomenclature, my brain isn't working today
all the middle gen ( 02+) have the 25mm axle

Thanks teddy, so Speedymoto could be a choice? Thing is, $$$ is short... The ST's I've read are 'direct' bolt on, just to whatch out for setting since STs are heavier, I'm 190lbs no gear on... Will they be OK rigth of? or should I have them sent to HyperPro or RaceTech to correctly spring it to my weigth? and then get the rear spring and redo the rear schock all together?
See, a simple question, evolves so fast into a discussion and I do thank everyone for your answers.

STs are heavier... which might work in your favor. Ducs are generally not sprung (at least the monsters) for people as big as you. You might want to do research into the stock spring rates on the ST, and the weight of and ST vs your 620. YOu might get lucky and find that the stock ST springs are more suited to your bike+rider net weight than the Monsters are... but it'll take a little research. Or you could jsut send 'em off to get worked over by raceTech, Dept or Suspension etc etc

speedymoto's are nice
or if you can find a used cyclecat, that's another good brand if you're going the sbk direction
+1 on yuu's advice
if you do happen to find ST forks, you could always just bolt 'em up anyway, since you don't need to swap triples, and see how they feel, and re-spring as necessary/money permitting

Asking since been offerd a set of ST forks... but if they're 'plug n play' I'll take my chances, once I come up with the $$$...

I just did your research but you should educate yourself too. Go to
www.racetech.com
They have a spring rate calculator for your bike and an ST2.
The recommended spring rate for you on your Monster is .85 kg/mm for street riding. The stock spring rate on the ST2 is .85. The ST2 weight does not matter for this equation. You need the correct rate spring for your weight, on your bike, and this would work for you. But please research it for yourself because knowledge is power
I'll give you another option. I have a set of Monster forks for sale that just happen to have .85 kg/mm Racetech springs in them. That spring rate is what I needed to race, but it's what you need for street. (I weigh less than you) My forks are much cheaper but not adjustable. I have set them up already and they work great. You can adjust them but it just means taking them apart instead of turning a knob. It's a cheaper option but doesn't have the adjustable knob. (that most people don't know what to do with anyway
)

fasterblkduc, I was looking in their webpage when got a post telling me new post had been posted on thread. The reason I joined the forums is to get knowledge on these bikes, no matter if Monster, SS, ST, SBK, HM, MTS... I fell in love with Ducati when I saw a friends 999 and that was it...
