Taking a quick ride out to Tortilla Flat this Sunday the 8th. Meetup at the Chevron station on Idaho rd. just north of the 60 in Apache Junction. Meetup time is 7:00 with kickstands up by 7:30 to beat the boat traffic out to the lake. We will probably be done by around 9:30 or so I am also planning on heading to the Coffee Shop in Gilbert (next to Joe's Farm Grill) for a cup of coffee and a snack.

7am could be tough depending on Saturday nigh activities, but 9:30 coffee sounds much more civilized...... then perhaps a blast somewhere else?

Just a side note for any Tucson riders - I got an email that the Tucson group is doing a meet and ride to Mt Lemmon the same day.

Location: Renaissance Motorcycles,  Tucson, AZ

Date/Time: 11/8 - 7am,

I have to make it an early day and head home after coffee.

I am sure though, another ride could be piggy backed onto this one that leaves from the coffee shop. Maybe those who can't make 7:00 can show up for coffee and head out from there. Anyone else who wants to keep going can just continue along. Any suggestions for a second leg of the ride?

I headed home, instead of going for coffee (in case anyone worried that I'm at the bottom of a cliff).

Also, some funny news ...

You guys might remember our century-plant-cutting friends who were pulled over by the police and forest service ... well, I looked it up, and it is very illegal to cut down those plats without a permit from the Department of Agriculture. (http://www.azda.gov/esd/nativeplants.htm)

It's actually a felony.

We saw them on the side of the road, they got their come up-ins. We got to the coffee shop and didn't know where you went. Steve thought he was behind you, so we didn't realize you were gone until we got to the destination. Glad to see you made it home.
