I don't see how an act of violence directed at the military is terrorism.

That has got to be one of the most idiotic statements I have ever read.

It is not an idiotic statement.  Just check a few post up.  Terrorism was long ago was defined as violent acts against civilians which are intended to create terror among the general population.  The word is often misused in the press so now the definition has become unclear and has been used to describe nearly any violent act.

And oh yeah don't get so upset at my posts, it won't do your heart any good.  I know that your pissed off and so am I.  We are on the same side and it silly to argue semantics now.

What should they be looking for?  The meaning of life according to "derby".

It's not complex at all. He was/is a (carrer) officer in the US Army. He betrayed an oath, among
other things. He was tormented by all the war stories the young troops told him about. He didn't
"want" to deploy. (He's a pussy)

i don't disagree with you at all here.

He murdered and "Terrorized" a bunch of innocent folks. He is a make the beast with two backsing Coward, who just happens to be a Muslim.

but don't think using a literal definition of "terrorist" (that, by the way, would fit your typical gradeschool bully) is going to help the overall situation.

so the bombers who attacked the marine barracks in Lebanon were not terrorists? the hijacker who killed the servicemember and dumped his body on the tarmac was not a terrorist? the hijackers who took a plane into the Pentagon were not terrorists?

just checking.

So what would genius? What will help the fact that this worthless, piece of shit, scumbag cocksuker,
murdered 13 innocent people (who aren't allowed to arm themselves on post, by the way).

Who happens to be a muslim.

To be honest they wouldn't.  Neither would be the attack at the Little Big Horn even though the solder's bodies were mutilated or thousands or horrific acts of violence that involve the military.  The attack on the world trade center was, as was the Oklahoma City Bombing, and the attach at 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich.

Who happens to be a muslim.

you can't see how characterizing this as terrorism vs fratricide may affect other muslim soldiers in our military?

if the guy had been catholic, or methodist, or buddhist or ???, would everybody be so quick to throw out the terrorist label? i don't think so.

how do you characterize other cases of fratricide like, for example, the murder of seaman august provost at camp pendleton.

^^ You leave me speechless.  :-X

Good,  we can then offer a moment of silence for those we recently lost to a pointless and violent act.

America is not a war with the catholic, methodist, buddhist, Hindi, Baptist... America is at war with Muslim extremists. Afghanist was ruled by Muslim extremists that allowed training camps to flourish and provide training to the hijackers, that some are calling non-terrorists, fly a plane into the Pentagon. Al Queda, AQI, and so many other groups have waged war on non-muslim cultures, an some muslim cultures who aren't extreme enough, for some time now.

This could have been labeled fratecide IF it  had been anything other than a muslim extremist commiting the act. sorry, but i for one think every muslim in the military should have their files at least reviewed. they should not be pulled out of the ranks, but if military intelligence doesn't at least review those people... we are just waiting for it to happen again.

You are correct about the 14 federal agencies, but as a civilian federal employee I can testify that those attacked were also civilians.
