Can you imagine how bad the people who bought a new Buell this year at full price feel right now?

I was getting on my bike at my local market last week when a fellow stopped to compliment the ride.  Said something about wanting either a Duc or a Buell.  I told him that it was fire-sale time at Buell dealers right now and he should go take a look.  But if he really wanted a Duc, the poor economy has resulted in a lot of newer used bikes on the market.

That sucks for them, Ha,Ha.  Cheesy  same prices at my local H-D/Buell outlet.

Others though, as I read on a Buell forum, are gladly snatching up the bikes that they could not previously afford.
Talking to the salesperson at my Ducati dealership, who is business partners with an H-D dealer, said that H-D has no legal obligation to maintain Buell parts and probably won't.

they'd probably be opening themselves up to a lawsuit given the "promise" they've made to keep parts on hand for seven years.

Someone could ( at those prices ) buy 2 . 1 to ride and 1 for parts down the line ....if they really wanted a Buell.

Not that I really care about Buell,  Smiley  but the sales person I talked to is also the owner/partner who first sold Buells before getting Ducati and is still partners with an H-D dealership.
After discussing that sad Eric Buell video and discussing parts availability from H-D is when he said H-D probably won't honor the parts warranty. I don't know, is there some kind of shady loop hole that H-D knows about and will use if they take more losses? Oh well   coffee

Looks like that sales person is "in the loop", why question him?
