I have entertained the thought of getting a second set of skins and doing the flat mat black scheme. How would that look with the pearl white tank?? Dunno.

LED dash?  I missed that the first time I saw that post in GMF.  Does that mean LED instead of LCD and that we could actually see what's displayed in the cluster?

what the make the beast with two backs??? if the bastards  at south seas ( present company excluded waytogo) told me a dark version was going to be available soon I would have waited a few more months for it, rather then buying my 848 then... now i am kind of pissed! first i was told that no more 1198s were coming in until after january, then i was told that the promo of the first 2 free maintenance  would not be offered with the 2010 models and then i was told that only colors available are red and white. i should have known better then to listen to a salesman... i wonder if they will let me exchange my white one for a black one?  cheeky

Most likely not, but I could offer you a couple hundred for it.  Wink

What are you talking about?  You would be better off spending the money to get yours painted in a unique fashion than taking the depreciation hit of selling/trading it in to get one of the Dark ones.  Plus, you would have a bike unlike anyone else's.  Just make sure you don't do anything stupid like try to paint yours to look like a 1098R or anything, not that we know anyone who would do that...   Roll Eyes

Went to SS and inquired about the NH 848 (laughed at the thought of paying over $16K for it...$16K really??!?!?!?)  Asked about the 2010 models and when they're coming in (salesman said around Feb/March time-frame...)   Chitchatted with the salesman for a little while longer and laughed again at the $16K bike...
So I guess I'll wait a couple of months and buy a 848 Dark...unless an astonishing deal materializes at SS (and I seriously doubt that since they have only 2 848's, both white one new and one used and the used one is only like $500 cheaper...)
C'est la vie...will keep the Monster for a few more months and see what happens!
