I just purchased a Luimoto seat cover for my 696. I plan on taking my OEM seat and the cover to an upholsterer. However, I'd like to remove the plastic screw holes pieces from my seat and just can't figure out how. Does anyone have any tips. The linked pic shows what I'm trying to remove. Thanks for any/all help! http://www.ducatimonster.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=98295&d=1257957529

Look under side where the plastic pieces comes out. There are tabs on the pieces. Push the tabs in and you shoudl be able to push the plastic pieces out.

Thanks for the reply!
Yeah, that's what I was trying to do but it's close to impossible to get the tabs to budge. I wondered if I was missing something. I'll try again and see if I can make any progress. Thanks again.

Oh, and using 1" foam made this perfect. The boys are happy!

That is sweet! Can you still get the seat cowl over the back? Of course, after getting it recovered like that, I'm not sure you'd want to.

Although I like the cowl, I haven't tried putting it on. The carbon fiber look is awesome, imo. I'll have to try installing it tonight and see if I can get it on there though.

Very nice.
Does the Stock Cover get removed for installation?... or is the new cover installed over it?
Please post photo of the new cover with the seat cowl on (even if not permanently installed).

The stock cover was removed and 1" of new foam installed under the new cover. Here are a couple of pix with the cowl.

Thank you for posting the photos.
With the new seat cover, your bike does look best without the cowl.
I have the white Monster and am unsure if the white seat cover or black seat cover with cowl would be best.

Well, I actually like the cowl but agree, the bike looks better without it, now that I have this new seat cover. With the white Monster, personally, i'd go with the white cover. imho, it preserves the balance of color. Plus, it's a carbon fiber pearl... http://www.luimoto.com/product_info.php?cPath=cPath=351&products_id=2638

very nice, considering it myself now! How do you think the white will hold up to dirt though? (the white in the Italian colors.)
