Well it was supposed to be a riddle folks....While talking to an Ohlins tech about getting the proper spring for my du737 for my 696 he mentioned that they were working on 696 stunt bikes for Ducati NA ,making the left leg like the right, ie drilling the bottom for the bolt, and doing a cartridge upgrade- ie Ohlins guts in the Showa tubes. it would only have a simple dampening control soft to hard . I am VERY interested in upgrading the forks, not because they are terrible but because I know what the good stuff feels like. By the way in case anyone is interested am down to an 105kg/mm spring with about 1/2 the "standard" preload and about 4 clicks softer on the rebound and the thing still launches my skinny butt out of the seat on sharp bumps. At least it is not painful. I will probably try a washer-shim on the top of the shock mount to get back to the origional quickness of the steering. Also on dec 5 at Thunderhill Penske is doing a suspension seminar for $75...bring your bike etc.   Of course I have to work..Don
