I'll take that last one under pay grade 12.  Would you be my boss?  I don't have a resume ready but will a copy of my engineers license suffice?

Seriously, good of you post that and maybe help someone that may need a job.  [thumbsup]

for perspective, what is the cost of living in the commute area?
(of course, if you are out of work....)
If you drive the nicest car in the neighborhood, work in a cash business, and don't pay taxes, you're either a preacher or a drug dealer...

Yes, there is a site. It's internal, unfortunately, and we have some rediculous number of job openings, so it's not real feasbile for me to post them up.

Tell me quals and I'll poke around though.

We have excellent healthcare-you don't even have a co-pay.

Same for dental.

Cost of living isn't bad out here-biggest cost would be housing-normal decent apartment (close to work) is $1200 a month or so. You can probably find something nice though a bit further away for around 800-900. For perspective, my guest house, which is 25 miles away from work, rents for $850 a month. 2 bedoom, 1 bath. I've seen nice houses in the East bay and the southern peninsula for 300-400K. You can go cheaper based on commute, willingness to fix the place up. That may sound bad, but as a tech with overtime I would expect any one of you mechanically inclined peeps to bring home around 70-100k, which ain't so bad.

If you be single, what I wish I would've done when I first moved, is buy a boat, and get a liveaboard slip and live on the boat. The slips for a 30' are $400 a month. Good chance to save some money.

You can ride year round here.

Do they need a painter?

I've painted missiles for the navy....course they were just targets. :P

We'll live at your house... ;D

I think that only works if you don't plan on breaking your hip?
