Last time I was on it the biggest danger was the wildlife,
I have never seen so many dead roo's and wombats anywhere.
Now thats a beast you don't want to hit so twilight ride should be avoided

Haven't been on there since Superbike trip back in February. Can't remember any cops. Loads of bikes. They were doing roadwork from Omeo to Bruthen and there was heaps of gravel patches but now it should be great. I try not to ride anywhere round about skippy time if I can help it.
There may be more current info on Netrider.

yeah I think I remember the TGAR, we went on so many roads in that week.
I remember a few of them, the Road into Mt Hotham! Gem....

I'll concur with matty and heather, all good. Can't remember any popo on that section of road, surprising as it was sbk weekend..

I did the G.A.R. on the way back from the motogp. Bloody fantastic road! Only saw two cops with radars, [leo]one 20 30kms before Omeo on the low side and one just coming into Bright. There was even snow (reasonable amount) still on Hotham. Just watch out for the dead wildlife on the odd 35km corner coming down the mountain.  enjoy the ride! [moto] |

Mate, just got off the phone with a mate who I'm trying to do the ride with....and we are stopping in at Bairny for fish & chips on day 3 of the tour! |
