How did I bend my kickstand?   [bang]

Seriously it looks like it would be difficult to do and I don't know how I did it.  It is bet forward a little and up.  Now it leans so far over than it makes me nervous.  I noticed last night at the gas station but it was dark.  Looked at it today and it was definitely bent.  It hasn't fallen over and no one has messed with it that I know of.  I did leave it on the street for about 4 hours last night, but no indications anything happened to it.

I was going to take it on a long trip over thanksgiving but I am not sure about that now.  I don't think it will bend any more, but I also didn't think it would bend in the first place.  I don't like the idea of bending it back and stressing the metal.

Anyone have an extra kickstand around that I can get by Tuesday?  Just kidding (kinda)

Are you sure the mounting bolts are tight?

Is this an aluminum stand/aluminum bracket or a steel/steel one?

i have a black steel one i could overnight you, i cut off the little nub on it that helps you kick it down cause i was scraping it in corners. perfectly use-able and you can have it for the cost of the shipping plus ten bucks for my time/gas to the post office! [thumbsup]

It is a steel/steel kickstand/bracket and the mounting bolt is tight.

I thought about it some more and I wonder if the car in front backed into my bike, hit the front tire but not hard enough to knock it over.  I still think it would be tough hit it hard enough to bend the kickstand and still keep the bike upright.

DarkDuc -Thanks, PM Sent.

Heat it up with a torch, bend it back, repaint.
