Congratulations!!!

Awesome bike.  My formitive motorcycle years were the late 70s-early 80s, and to me, Superbike means upright bikes with high bars.  Think Wes Colley, Eddie Lawson, Freddie Spencer.  The bikes looked like street bikes, yet significantly different that GP bikes.  Your bike captures that for me.  Fantastic!!

Me too, but even earlier! [thumbsup] I remember Pridmore's '76 Daytona 200 win on a Butler & Smith R90S like it was yesterday! And the "Old Blue" win... what kinda bike was that again? [laugh] Still have my '78 Guzzi 850 LeMans, '82 Suzook GS1000S Katana (in Yosh rep form), my '83 KZ1000R Lawson Rep and a newer '05 ZRX1200R in honor of the ELR. Sorry but all the old ones are in storage awaiting their Phoenix like rise from the dust. Love those early, developmental years of Superbike racing. The epitome of flexy flyers and the finely honed art of "bending the rules"... OK, call it cheating! [laugh]

There was a great article/write up about a guy who specialized in collecting those older Superbikes. It spaned two issues of Motorcyclist I think. Any help here? The guy apparently had awesome connections and even bought ALL the remaining HRC stock from American Honda. Ended up being multiple crates of unobtanium gear and parts. All for pennies on the dollar. That guy must have done something wonderful in another life!! [clap] [bow_down]

OK... end of thread jack.

I'm glad I got a little press by being the client who calls you an idiot for riding it on the street; and the track.
