Does any one know the difference between the 09 and 10 1100 Monster?

Sorry, couldn't help myself! I heard the 2010 model is coming with optional ABS!

Yes ABS is an option and also has extended muffler leg shields but is there any thing else?
And thanks for the web page link.

"Also, the 2010 Ducati Monster 696 comes with new engine casings that shed 2.6lbs off the bike’s weight, while the 2010 Ducati Monster 1100 comes with new the new “Silvergrey” cylinder coating. (WTF?)
Ducati has also revised the control mechanisms, and now the Monster series features 4-point brake and clutch levers to better suit all hand sizes."

The ABS is a great addition. I never thought I'd use it, but now I'd have a hard time owning a bike without ABS.

yea, but Ducati reduced the tank size from 3.8gal to 3.5gal to fit that ABS option. Not that that's alot, but when your effective range is 150 miles (highway), that makes a big difference.

Yes, but the tank will expand, so there's that.

the difference... a year?
ABS? Silvergrey coating? More colors? Adjustable brake/clutch levers at last[on entry level bikes]..., extended exhaust protection, cheaper? smaller tank, again!!!
The only thing I want on my bike are the 4 pot calipers... no matter if axial or radial and 320mm rotors!!! Just saying
