G'day everyone,

i have been looking at a heap of yank websites but i don't know who to trust...

What brand did you get?

why did you choose that brand?

Where did you get yours from (Oz?, website, bike shop)

Would second hand ones be ok?

Cheers,
Marty

Marty,

Might I suggest you have a think about what you prefer first ... general look & size, material, price perhaps ... maybe even the type of sound. Most retailers only sell certain brands so a recommendation for retailer X won't help you if you don't like any of the pipes they sell, etc.

BTW mine are custom jobbies ... not the most economical route to take and may be limiting in choice of materials, really depends on what you are after.

Oh yeah and if you are struggling for inspiration have look at the 'show us your ride' thread here or the 'official bikes of the dmf' thread on the general board. With a hundred pages of pretty pictures you never know you might be able to find something which might help.

If you find something that can be identified it will make it easier to search for and get help.

See there's a start. Low mounts?

If that's the case I will jump in before Matty, Goldie & Yellow Meanie and suggest having a look at Mivvs. I think PJ (PJs Parts) still sells them but may not have pricing on his website ... you may need some mounting brackets though.

I would have thought that style would be relatively easy to find ... and I am sure others would have some suggestions for you.

Hey Marty

The best place to start shopping is with the board sponsors

<
<
<
<

You'll find them down here on the left side, they are well used to shipping internationally and the little AUD is getting better
day by day against the US greenback or whatever colour it is being printed now.

Go shopping there to start.
Then hit www.monsterparts.com
www.pjsparts.com
www.revercorsa.com

all good places in my and our experience.

Now get blinging that Monster, Xmas is coming.

No need for brackets unless you are planning on changing rearsets.

Hi Marty,
As Betty said, I would do some researching before you spend your hard-earned.

I love my MiVVs, they are exactly what I wanted. There's plenty of pics, and a couple of videos of mine.
Have a look at my "Thylacine" thread in Ozmonsters, and the "MIVV slip ons" thread in accessories and modifications  Cheesy

Marty, another place you could have a look at is www.corsa.co.nz

I bought my midpipe for my S2R1k cheaper from those guys than anywhere else. They sell various makes of pipes.
with the exchange rate to the NZ dollar you can't go wrong.
I think by memory they sell alot of Marving exhausts for Ducatis

I got my marvings from monsterparts.
Overall very happy with both the service from Jeff, and the pipes themselves.
I went with the marvings as they had what I wanted (left/right high rise cans in carbon) and were the best value for money.  I would also have liked Arrows, but they ended up being very expensive.
Drop me a line if you want more details.

They need to be hosted elsewhere i.e. flickr, photobucket etc....

Once they are you copy the image location and paste it between image tags >.......
The image tags can be found above second in on the left under the italic button.

cheers
Matty....
