Whelp; last ride of the season occurred last week ...

pulled the plate on the yellow duc and handed it in to ICBC (our provincially (state) owned insurance agents here in British Columbia, Canada).

After all the paper work was said and done ... I owed them $1.72 ....I thought I was getting a refund for the balance; which was 70 some odd bucks; so that was over 70 bucks to the bureaucracy to shuffle paper to cancel a policy ... $#!%!*^&*!.  I still have a separate storage policy by a private insurer, its cheep-er.

All of us.  CA (not Canada).

The 8 year-old in me just luuuuuuvs spending all winter gloating.  It's cheap thrills, but somehow always satisfies.

Still riding in the Mid-South but it's getting colder and I have to start pulling out the heated gear for my commutes.

Rode in to work last Mon - Wed, Nov 23-25, that may be it.

Combo darkness, horny bucks, snow & cold have conspired.

Figure any riding in November here a bonus, managed to commute 'almost' every day.

Just a matter of time before the state & towns start pouring money, in the form of rock salt,
all over our roads, at every opportunity, that will be that for the moto.

Rode to work this morning.  There's no off-time in AZ. Was about 36F?
I really need to grab some insulated gloves.  Those couple months of 20-40 degree mornings are painful.

I'm SW of Houston, Texas.  Pretty much year round riding here.  It only occasionally gets much below freezing and that is during the night.  What we consider cold days here are highs that only get into the high 40F or low 50F.  I believe our normal high for this time of year is 68F.  Friday is going to be interesting, the high is going to be upper 30F with the possibility of SNOW!!! :o  That's something we don't see much of.

I hung it up here in Boston two weeks ago.  Not so much the cold, as commuting in the dark.  Call me a pussy but riding in rush hour Boston traffic at night is SCARY.

Anyone in MA shut their insurance off - i didn't think we coudl do that?

86F or 30C here in Miami and the rest of Florida....  [cheeky]

Last week a cold front came in for a fee days but I still rode through the torrential downpours & the cold weather.

But mostly it is like the tv ad says: A bad day in Florida beats a good day anywhere else....

I guess the only time really when you can't ride down here is if a hurricane comes in  [moto]

On the shores of lake MI here.
I rode every day to work from about 2nd week in May until the Wed before Thanksgiving. Then rode yesterday morning to work again. It was about 35f when I left and 38 when I came home 13 hours later.
It's not the cold, but rather wondering if the bike is going to start. Even with the new battery it's extremely sluggish starting under 50.
I don't recall ever being able to ride this late, and hope to squeeze another day or two in.

Honestly though, the 2 days I took the truck to work was pretty nice. Hop in and go - no messing around with gear on both ends of the journey.
