Bucci timing belts

New timing belts arrived in mail today, I bought the Bucci replacements.  I have an M900 and the belts I am replacing have round teeth.  The Bucci's that I received have a thin groove down the center of each tooth, kind of makes it look like the square tooth style.  Did I get the wrong belts?   [bang]  [bang] 

I ordered from a reputable place and they know what kind of bike I have, but maybe they still messed up, or the design of the Bucci belts is just a bit different than OEM?  I can call the place tomorrow to ask, but kind of wanted to get going on this ASAP.  Anyone have experience with this?

I've seen belts that have the feature that I think you're describing.
But I can't see 'em, so YMMV.

You're likely OK, but contact the vendor first just to be safe.

I use the Bucci belts and they have the same shape you are talking about.  No problem with 2 sets so far.

Ditto for me too, used the Bucci belts and seem to remember the teeth looking slightly different.  No problems in 5k miles!

Generally speaking are Bucci belts better than OEM?  If so, how?

Not necessarily better, but far less expensive.

i used the bucci's on my 900 without incident.

I just spoke to vender about the Bucci belts and they are the correct belts for my bike.  Apparently the groove down the middle of each tooth is the way the Bucci company avoids patent infringement.  If they designed their belts to look just like Ducati's belts, they could be sued.  Now all I have to do is install them without breaking anything else on my bike (cracked the plastic belt cover due to a stubborn bolt/my stupidity mayber there was a better way to remove it.)

I have em, and I can personally attest to the fact that they last for three years without breaking!!!  8)

I really probably better change those darn things one day...

Seriously though, they still look new. No cracking or dryness at all. Do you think I'm really in danger?
Aftermarket: RoadRacing modified under-engine exhaust, revalved 996 forks, ProCutting half-open clutch, CC triple and pressure plate, 999 clipons, BMC filter, CRG-LS mirrors, PC3, Rizoma rearsets, heated grips, +2 teeth in rear gearing, Veypor VR2 computer, MBP collets, Yoyodyne slave, Galfer waves front and rear, misc CF (mostly faded), CRG clutch/brake levers.

The belt question has been beat to death.  The 2 year/12k spec is without a doubt conservative.  It's anyones guess how long you can safely go, but for me, the $50 every 2 years is worth it compared to worrying about grenading the motor.
