Did you not watch the whole video where he spun the bike? He applied force away from the stand to spin the bike at one point.

That's is a super cool stand!!!  Notice there looks to be inserts in the frame, so it most likely isn't just bolts in the hole...I'd guarantee there is a tab or something locking the bolts to the insert to keep the bike from slipping off the 2 bolts. The fact that he hopped on the bike while it was elevated on the stand shows it is very stable.

I wonder if they have a patent on it?  I've had a stand like that in my head for a LONG time.   Might cost $100 each if you build a bunch of em'. 

For ~$450, I bet most will just roll the bike where they want it

this stand has been on several other boards.

Issues:

1) very few different bikes are supported.  Ie...I wanted one for the monster and the 1098 and the SC.  They only have pins for the 1098.

2)several mechanics say it would be good for basic stuff like fork removal, but would never trust it for serious torque settings like settting a clutch.

love the idea though.

if you were doing something more serious couldn't you mod it a bit to lock it in place? something along the lines of hose clamps that go around the stand and trellis? it wouldn't need to hold it up, just keep it from sliding off right?
