I found a few Monster 750 with the stock exhaust on them. Ireally want carbon fiber termis (proper jetting also) can I still get the kit from the dealership? the dealership parts section only list parts for much newer bikes. I found 2 1999's I like.

I would pretty much use 'skrat's advice. Get the big book of N.A. Ducati Dealerships out (ok, its not a book more like a tiny pamplet) and call around. Out of the way shops might have sets in the back for you.
I stumbled across a set of DP Megaphones for my 1999 Monster 900 a few years ago at NPR Ducati near Athens, GA.

Termi's suck.
I would never own another pair.
I have them on my S4r and would love to sell and move to a different brand.
I have the double barrel shotgun side by side type, exposes that nice pretty rear white wheel

my guess is that the finish sucks because it does. I had mine re-cleared with automotive clear and they are beautiful now. older cans exposed to the elements will do this.

that is why you go with termi titanium cans instead. all the advantages (lighter weight, termi sound, and actually good build quality) termi without all the problems of carbon fiber fading.
call up npr ducati, i got a set of lowmount termi titanium from paul there at a very good price though mine was a 2002 and up bike you'll have to ask if those cans will fit on the earlier 99 bikes or not. a few years ago he had tons of them in stock brand new.

never understood why DP carbon sucks and fades so easily. hell, for the price they should look new for decades.

I wonder if the kits that Termi makes for other bikes have the same issues...
Termi sells direct for all other brands, but has an exclusive distribution agreement with Ducati.
Which sucks, at least until last year they still listed Pantah stuff in their catalogue, but Ducati says they don't carry it. Catch 22

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

One of the S-pipes that came with the DP "shotgun" kit for my '05 S4R were assembled with a bad jig. I had a local guy cut one tube in half, rotate it about 1/8" and weld it back together...worked like a charm. A few other guys on TOB said they had the same problem with their Termi S-pipes.
That said, I went from Termis to Ex-Box to Boom Tubes. [moto]

On my 900, i went to ex box to dp megs to ncr/sil ti round pipes.
No need to get termi for your DSS monster, especially since you won't be needing any ECU that was included in the performance kit (those 99's and all the way through 01, i believe, are carburetted).
Find some Arrows or Sil or whatever you like the look of and be happy. The termis do not necessarily flow any better than any of the others or yeild the most power just because Ducati picked them for their performance part supplier. (They just get a good deal... which they apparently do not pass on to us).

big ol' disagree right there. carbon high pipes have a similar tone to other carbon high pipes. Likewise, aftermarket aluminum low pipes sound similar to aftermarket aluminum low pipes. The sound comes from the diameter and bends of the pipe and the material used. Exhaust pipe mufflers aren't rocket science.
