The other guy is not returning his insurances call. Go figure right? Im pretty sure he'll deny the snuff out of it though.

What my insurance guy told me (progressive) is to wait. It generally is appropriate to give them 30 days to respond. However the other guys insurance company has the right to refuse pay out because of that. However with a police report and a witness, it will be hard for them to refute anything, especially since the police report has the witness name and number on it.

The Claim representative for the other guy is a real pregnant dog too she sounds like she hates her job and doesn't want to deal with anything. I told her for several days to call my witness after 12pm. She never did. I just called him now and gave him, her number. So hopefully that will settle that.

The waiting game begins. Meanwhile, im looking for mirrors and my bikes pretty much ready to be back on the road until then.    ... I can ride it right? No one said not to.

Why do you have to wait? Progressive should pay you now. They then play the waiting game when they go after the other guys insurance to get paid back.

I think thats how it works if you have comp and collision. I only carry liability, so im making a claim on the other guys liability coverage. So i have to chase after the driver myself.

Im still waiting. The drivers insurance company sent a guy to apraise the bike, and they said that it is common for their insurance to give the driver up to 30 days to respond, which lands right after new years. After which ill see where it goes. My insurance guy says that the driver's insurance may or may not deny the claim outright just because their driver didnt admit fault. So ultimately I dont know where ill be standing until i get word from their insurance. Its either i try to get as much money as I can/total it and buy it back if the price is right/go to small claims court and try to get the whole $5grand and keep my bikes title clean.
