Cracked Exhaust Bracket, I need help...FAST (please)

Just noticed this morning...anyone else ever seen this happen?

What are suggestions for fix/repair?  I am supposed to ride in a Toys for Tots run this Saturday...

go to the dealership if its under warranty....I bet they will tell you the Arrow exhaust caused this but there is no way it did. They will also tell you if they installed Termis it would be covered. I would take pictures, then go to the dealership see what they say and make a decision if they have bad news to have it welded. IMO it  could be welded and painted by you in no time and that break will not affect the frame at all. just my .02

Go to your dealer, see what they say.  Then get the tab welded so you can do your "Toys for Tots" run.

It is an '05 so it is out of warranty...

I planned on getting the 12K done soon and can get it repaired at the dealer then (no Duc dealer close by...damn you Valdosta, GA!)  I am just let down by not able to ride it in the T4T ride if I can't get it resolved by this weekend.

anyone can weld that... There would be no reason to have that done by the dealer

+1 on the zip tie if you can't fix it before the ride.

no need to drill, just take out the fastener and run it through that hole and around the frame tube

Since it's out of warranty, get it welded and find some touch up paint.  Should solve the problem.

Like others said, I'd ziptie and safetywire in the short term and get it welded in the long term.

Another short-term option is to put a hoseclamp (one of those with rubber on the inside that you get from the hardware store) around the frame tube.  Then you can use either a ziptie or a piece of metal (who know the kind they sell with holes already drilled in 'em) to connect the hose clamp to the exhaust hanger.  But frankly, that's more complicated than it need to be.  Just ziptie it.

talked to a local welding shop and gonna take it to them this week.  Now, where did I put that trailer...?  LOL

I agree the that zip tie idea sounds doable. But a more suitable fix would be to use a little JB Weld on it. That would hold itin place no problem.

thought about that but wondering how it will hold since apparently there is pressure against it...enough to snap the original.
